Hi I am Yvonne – Co- founder of Urban Smiles Dental Hygiene Studio. 

I am a Registered Dental Hygienist with over 20 years of clinical experience, a Registered Restorative Dental Hygienist and I also began my career as a dental assistant, giving me a well-rounded perspective on patient care from every angle .    I’ve also had the privilege of working as a clinical instructor at Algonquin College in the past, where I enjoyed mentoring and supporting future dental hygiene and assistant professionals. 

I believe exceptional dental care is never one-size-fits-all. My approach is thoughtful, preventative, and highly individualized, with a strong focus on education, precision and patient comfort.  I’m committed to lifelong learning and staying current with modern techniques and technology so I can provide care that  this is both evidence-based and genuinely patient-centered.  

I work part-time as a educator specializing in advanced instrumentation using piezo and airflow technology with Oral Science as their Eastern Ontario the Woodpecker PT-B trainer, which allows me to stay current on techniques, advances in therapy and elevating patient care while maximizing the potential of modern hygiene technology. 

At Urban Smiles, I take pride in creating a calm, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected and completely at ease.  Whether someone is meticulous about their oral health or hasn’t been in for years, my goal is always the same: to provide care that feels intentional, unrushed and personal.

Outside the clinic, I love spending time with my two daughters, my fur babies, and husband, travelling and finding balance through running, music venues, sporting events, and new experiences.
